Village of the Porches welcomes you

Mayor Tom BaugussOn behalf of the Village of Greenup, I would like to welcome you to our website. Greenup is a small village well-known for its porches. With a population of 1516, our residents are filled with pride and appreciation for their town.

In the spring, our main streets are always filled with pink blossoms from the red bud trees and the parks are filled with ball games and the smell of hotdogs. During the summer months, you will find residents taking a walk around town or the kids playing at the parks. Fall is very busy. We have the October Fest which is the first weekend of the October month and football has began! The winter months are very exciting seeing everyone decorate for Christmas.

The Village of Greenup is home to Evapco which employees 250 workers and is located on the south east side of town. One mile away on Rt. 121, you will find Quinn Broom Works which employs 15 workers.

The downtown area is known for its antiques and collectibles and the Military Museum. Check out the many businesses that are around the town. And, when you come to visit, bring a hefty appetite as we have a different variety of restaurants, from BBQ to fast food.

As Mayor, I would like to welcome and invite you to visit our little home town and check out what we have to offer. I think that you will agree that Greenup is a charming little village.

Sincerely
Mayor Tom Bauguss
